Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American actor and a singer. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and also as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and car salesman. She is the mother of three brothers and sisters. In her teens was a nightclub singer, sneaking out of the family home to perform. Kari Wuhrer, born in 1967 was an American model, singer and actor. She took drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor renowned as Uta. Kari began her journey into acting at 13, and she got her breakthrough in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
