The actress is known best as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has retired. Her most well-known role is her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by eventual husband Steven Spielberg. In the years since, she was a part in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995), and The Love Letter (1999). The portraiture work of Capshaw was displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was a daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel consultant as well as Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee). [4] At the age of five, she relocated to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw earned a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a teacher of special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri, as also Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri.
